On February 11, 2012, we were presented with the keys to our new van. We can now accommodate 8 clients, and their service dogs. The impact on our program started immediately, and will continue for many years to come.
Thank you to everyone that voted for us, to our many clients for all your hard work, to our many supporters for everything you do to make opportunities like this possible, and to the businesses that provided the discounts that kept this project in our budget.

Guild Assistance dog Partners’ website has recently passed its 2 year anniversary. It has been an interesting time full of many wonderful learning opportunities. And still the educational opportunities keep showing up. For instance just 48 hours ago I came to realize that not only was our donate button broken, I don’t think it ever worked in the first place! 2 years gone by and we have not had a working donate button.
I was wonderingwhy I kept getting emails asking why we do not have a donate button. I was honestly starting to wonder if I needed a larger button. But alas the answer appears. As I click the donate button I am taken to a screen, way out in internet land that simply says “fatal failure”. So it’s not that they can’t see the button. Oh no! Instead it just plain doesn’t work!
Two days of research later, a very small change to one line of code, and the donate button is fixed! Who would of ever thought I would be editing HTML code? So for those of you who have been asking about the donate button, it’s fixed, and hopefully it stays that way. Let me know it you notice any new or reoccurring issues.
In the meantime, thank you, for supporting the vision of Guild Assistance dog Partners!

A local teenage artist donated 25 hand painted leather key chains to help raise funds for GAP Dogs. She came up with the idea as a way to help a great organization while practicing her leather carving and dyeing techniques at the same time. Thank you Allison for all your hard work and generosity!

August is quickly approaching and everyone at GAP Dogs is busy preparing to host a booth at the Denver Pet Expo. The details for this fun event are below or you can click on their link located in the column to the right. We hope to see you there. In fact I hope you walk right up to our booth and inform us that you read our website! That would actually make my day! If attending the Pet Expo doesn’t fit into your schedule below are a few reasons why I hope you will make an online donation to GAP Dogs today!
Guild Assistance Dog Partners was started over 10 years ago by several trainers who dreamed they could make a difference. In the last 10 years over 300 dogs have been placed in homes with people who need them. Lives have been changed for the better. A difference has definitely been made.
This year GAP was graciously nominated for the “non-profit excellence” award that is given out annually by the Colorado Cross Disabilities Coalition. We are very pleased to be receiving this award on July 26, 2011. It is an incredible tribute to our efforts.
Gap charges $25.00 to process each application they receive. No other fees are ever paid to GAP by the recipients of their service dogs.
All GAP’s expenses are paid by hosting fundraisers and the generous donations we receive from our faithful supporters.
All of the staff at GAP dogs are volunteers.
During the month of August our goal is to raise enough money to change the lives of 10 people who are already waiting for the assistance of a service dog. Please help our efforts to make a difference by making a tax deductible donation to Guild Assistance Dog Partners! Thank you, your support is greatly appreciated!
